Kirkhill Auto Services Ltd is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join the team on a staff basis. The role will preferably have an immediate start for the right candidate to ensure a smooth handover.

 

Role:

 

  • Processing the daily financial transactions and monthly closing activities;
  • Maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, staff expenses and petty cash;
  • Ensure all reconciliations are prepared on weekly / monthly basis;
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register;
  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns to HM Revenue and Customs;
  • Preparation and payments of all supplier invoices via BAC’s in accordance with payment terms;
  • Liaise with our external payroll provider to ensure all amendments are actioned accurately;
  • Profit and loss comparison of actuals against budget / forecast and reporting of monthly results to the managing director;
  • Active management of cash to ensure payment is received from client (especially taxi drivers) in line with payment terms;
  • Lead on office management, such as ordering stationery etc.;
  • Carry out general accounting, administrative work i.e. invoicing, book-keeping and any other duties that are reasonably required;

 

Required:

 

  • A good knowledge and understanding of accounting principles;
  • Full driving licence;
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Proficient user of Excel;
